Located in the heart of the Ellé valley, Locunolé is at the gates of the Roches du Diable natural site. This place marked by the ferocity of the Ellé and its granite chaos offers visitors beautiful walks in the heart of nature. Did you know that this place, like many others in Brittany, has a legend?

The river which crosses this exceptional site, one of the wildest rivers in Brittany, offers the possibility of numerous activities such as fishing and kayaking. In winter, the river being too fiery for recreational kayaking, amateurs give way to professionals and to national and international competitions.

Heritage lovers, take advantage of the different hiking departures to discover chapels, mills and small heritage of this town which is located north of the Pays de Quimperlé.

Originally

Locunolé comes from the Breton “loc” which means “consecrated place” and from the name of the founder of the Abbey of Landevennec, Saint-Guénolé.
